The requirement to collect separate food waste from all properties weekly will be a new burden for English local authorities. Defra has confirmed in its Net Zero Strategy that £295M of capital funding will be made available to local authorities for food waste collection vehicles and containers; currently, only a proportion of just less than half of collection authorities in England are collecting food waste.

Please note: production capacity for food waste caddies is filling up quickly, especially for 2026 deliveries. We would therefore recommend you secure your purchase orders ASAP to ensure competitive pricing and deliveries in good time.
