How to apply for food waste funding
The requirement to collect separate food waste weekly from all properties will be a New Burden for English local authorities, and Defra has confirmed in its Net Zero Strategy that £295M capital funding will be made available to Local Authorities for food waste collection vehicles and containers. Currently, only a proportion of just less than half of collection authorities in England are collecting food waste.
ESPO can help you to achieve these goals in a compliant and cost-effective manner. We have been approved by WRAP as a recommended framework provider for you to procure food waste vehicles, caddies and liners. See below our framework options to support you:
