Description
The Dream Drum is an award winning, pitched percussion instrument that is so easy and satisfying to play that it really is an instrument for everyone, from Early Years to getting on in years and it is particularly brilliant in SEN settings.
It is made of a recycled gas canister which has had tongues cut into the top which are specially tuned to make 9 different tones which cover almost two octaves of a pentatonic scale.
Using soft beaters, such as those included in the kit, is important as harder sticks can chip, dent and detune the finish.
The Dream Drum comes in its own padded canvas carry bag, together with three different beaters, a drum stand made from banana leaves, a short guide “Introducing the Dream Drum” and a set of stick-on numbers in case you’d like to number the keys from 1 to 9.
The recommended age for use of this item is 3yrs+.
