Framework 379 offers access to a wide range of waste and recycling collection and disposal services covering different types of waste streams including general waste, paper and cardboard, metals and plastic, glass and mixed recycling.
The framework also covers a food waste collection and recycling service which offers customers yet further opportunity to both reduce costs (by diverting food waste from landfill) whilst helping meet their environmental aspirations by supporting the zero waste to landfill initiative.
In addition, the framework caters for the collection and disposal of hazardous waste, specialist waste streams / bulk non-hazardous waste, a range of liquid wastes and waste resulting from buildings and facilities clearances (including furniture and other associated waste).
Customers are able to call-off a wide range of services across multiple Lots to meet their requirements for a total waste management provision.

Lot listing
The framework is divided into the following lots:
Lot 1 General Waste
Lot 1 is for the provision of general waste collection and disposal services. This non-recyclable waste may include but not be limited to items that cannot be processed with standard recycling, such as soft plastics (crisp packets, cling film), food-soiled paper (tissues, kitchen roll, food boxes), polystyrene, nappies, sanitary products, pet waste, broken glass and ceramics.
Lot 2 Paper and Cardboard Recycling
Lot 2 is for the provision of paper and cardboard recycling services.
Lot 3 Metals and Plastic Recycling
Lot 3 is for the provision of metals and plastic recycling services.
Lot 4 Glass Recycling
Lot 4 is for the provision of glass recycling services.
Lot 5 Mixed Recycling
Lot 5 is for the provision of mixed recycling services. Mixed recyclable materials are likely to include a combination of certain materials such as paper, cardboard, glass, plastic, aluminium/steel cans and waxed cardboard (Tetra Pak), but they will exclude those materials that would knowingly cause contamination, such as wood.
Lot 6 Food Waste
Lot 6 is for the provision of food waste collection and disposal services.
Lot 7 Hazardous Waste
Lot 7 is for the provision of hazardous waste collection and disposal services. A range of hazardous wastes may include but is not limited to acids, alkaline batteries, battery acid, electric vehicle (EV) batteries and components, cleaning chemicals, laboratory chemicals, fluorescent tubes, aerosols, duplicator fluids, flammable solids and liquids, oils, toxics, toxic solids, water-based waste, e-cigarettes, and WEEE. Also included is the provision for the collection and clean-up of fly-tipped waste.
Lot 8 Specialist Waste Streams / Bulk Non-Hazardous Waste
Lot 8 is for the provision of specialist waste streams / bulk non-hazardous waste collection and disposal services. A range of waste streams may include but is not limited to dry mixed waste, green waste, wood waste, and hardcore / rubble waste. Also included is the provision for the collection and clean-up of other specialist waste streams and fly-tipped waste.
Lot 9 Liquid Waste/Oil
Lot 9 is for the provision of liquid waste / oil collection and disposal services. A range of liquid wastes may include but is not limited to waste oil, contaminated water, cesspit waste, waste from drainage interceptors and sludge waste. Also included is the provision for the collection and clean-up of fly-tipped liquid waste and oil.
Lot 10 Site Clearance Waste (incl. furniture)
Lot 10 is for the provision of site clearance waste (incl. furniture) collection and disposal services. A range of wastes resulting from site, buildings and facilities clearances may include but is not limited to clearances of housing, offices, military establishments, hospitals, and educational establishments. These wastes may include but not be limited to dry mixed waste, recyclables and furniture. Also included is the provision for the collection and clean-up of fly-tipped waste.
