This ESPO framework provides the provision of specialist waste services including the collection and disposal of various hazardous wastes, scheduled pharmaceutical waste collections, the provision of an end disposal facility for various waste types and the provision of collection and disposal of various waste types.
Lot 1 378B_21 Hazardous Waste Collection and Disposal services
ESPO was unable to award the collection and disposal of hazardous waste under the original procurement for 378_20 Hazardous and Specialist waste as such we have conducted a separate procurement exercise for these services which is now live. The framework caters for the collection and disposal of hazardous waste including but not limited to laboratory & cleaning chemicals, WEEE waste, fluorescent Tubes, empty paint tins, full paint tins, oily rags, waste oil and pesticides. The suppliers awarded onto this framework have also detailed to what extent they can collect and dispose of illicit waste such as illegal drugs, alcohol, counterfeited goods etc. details surrounding this can be found in the additional services tab on the 378B_21 Price Schedule.
Lot 2 Collection and Disposal of Specialist Waste Streams
This lot covers the collection and disposal of hazardous waste streams including chemicals, fluorescent tubes, sodium lamps, WEEE waste, waste oil, oily rags, empty aerosols, paint tins etc.
Lot 3 Collection and Disposal of Liquid Waste and Oil
This lot caters for high volume waste such as from civic amenity sites, dry mixed waste, building or construction projects and any other situations where a large quantity of waste is produced. The service itself will involve the service provider providing the relevant receptacles then collecting the waste and disposing of it. Also included is the provision for the collection and clean-up of fly-tipped waste.
Lot 4 Collection and Disposal of Waste from Site Clearances (including furniture)
This lot covers the removal and disposal of waste resulting from buildings and facilities clearances. This includes, but is not limited to clearances of housing, offices, military establishments, hospitals, and educational establishments. This encompasses the disposal of furniture (including carpets) and other associated waste.
