This framework covers a range of unmetered electrical connections ('contestable' works) and minor installation works provided by Independent Connection Providers, including but not limited to: - Connections - Disconnections - Transfers - New Connections - Design of new assets - Excavation and reinstatement - Erection and removal of columns.

Framework Accordion Title

This ESPO framework provides access to multiple suppliers known as Independent Connection Providers (ICPs) who can carry out highway electrical connections (referred to as 'contestable' works) on street furniture to unmetered supplies on networks owned by Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) and Independent Distribution Network Operators (IDNOs). Some of the framework suppliers can also carry out highway electrical connections on privately owned cables and undertake minor installation works such as the supply, installation and erection of columns, street furniture and feeder pillars, and traffic management provision. All of the suppliers on this framework have been selected for their experience and ability to carry out highway electrical connections and minor installation works. All of the suppliers possess a National Electrical Registration Scheme (NERS) accreditation. Some of the suppliers also hold a Highway Electrical Registration Scheme (HERS) accreditation.

Lot 1 Highway Electrical Connections on DNO/IDNO Networks (‘Contestable’ Works)

This lot includes the following services: - Design of connections - Connections of unmetered supplies - Disconnections of unmetered supplies - Transfers of unmetered supplies - New connections to unmetered supplies - Overhead cable connections / transfers / disconnections- including 3 phase connections to feeder pillars The above includes street furniture such as street lighting, illuminated bollards, traffic signals etc. to unmetered supplies. Associated civil engineering works such as trench excavation, reinstatement, duct installation and backfilling up to tile tape level are also included.

Lot 2 Highway Electrical Connections on DNO/IDNO Networks (‘Contestable’ Works) and privately owned cables, and Minor Installation Works

In addition to the contestable works listed in Lot 1 above, suppliers under Lot 2 provide highway electrical connections on privately owned cables, and minor installation works as follows: - Private cable: joint, connection, termination, cable in duct, trench excavation and reinstatement and fault finding (locate and repair) - Supply (if required) and installation of Feeder pillar - Supply (if required), installation, erection and removal of illuminated street furniture - Supply (if required), erection and removal of columns - Traffic Management provision
