Webinar: Can you reduce your carbon footprint AND your operating costs?

In this webinar Mypower’s Neil Stott will cover how you can reduce your carbon footprint and operating costs with a commercial solar PV system. Find out the steps you need to take to establish whether a significant portion of electricity could be locally sourced from your own solar PV system at a unit rate of around 1/3 of the price of buying from the grid. Neil will seek to dispel some of the solar energy generation myths, as well as provide an opportunity to ask questions.

About Mypoweruk

Award-winning Mypower is a specialist designer and installer of commercial solar PV.  Our focus is very much on helping businesses reduce their energy costs and their carbon footprint, and is dedicated to giving every customer quality service every time. We’ve been in operation since 2010, and in that time, we’ve successfully installed over 50,000 panels, all with our in-house installation team. In 2017 Mypower won a prestigious National Award for its installation on 1,000-year-old Gloucester Cathedral.

Webinar 1: Heating solutions: Transitioning from gas fired to low carbon heating on a solid business case.

RINA will explore the technology options for replacing existing gas heating systems in the built environment, comparing the opportunities, technology benefits and risks, and how this can help the public sector to decarbonise its building stock as part of a pathway to zero carbon.

Webinar 2: Destination net zero: putting net zero at the heart of public estate development and interventions.

With the many climate emergency declarations and subsequent net zero targeting, Local Authorities are increasingly looking to take a leading role in the interventions required to achieve net zero. RINA work with a number of LA’s to help assess their estates to identify and develop revenue generating opportunities, that will help in the transition to net zero. RINA will discuss approaches and present recent examples of client journeys that they have assisted with.

About RINA

The RINA consortium provides energy consultancy services, and we have extensive experience in all forms of renewable energy technology, being able to deliver the full range of project development support to public sector clients, from initial scoping and detailed feasibility through to project development.

Webinar 1: Zero carbon buildings

The UK has set a target to reach net zero emissions by 2050, but about 40% of our carbon footprint is attributable to the built environment. To cut this down, we need to rethink how we build and use energy in our properties. In this webinar, Spirit Energy will look at the elements needed in a zero-carbon building and the benefits they can bring.

Webinar 2: Virtual power plants (balancing the grid with solar and batteries)

As the UK shifts to a decentralised, renewably powered energy grid, the challenge to balance supply and demand becomes ever more intense. One possible solution - virtual power plants. In this webinar, Spirit Energy will look at how buildings can benefit from solar PV and battery storage as part of an aggregate to reduce peak demand on the grid.

About Spirit Energy

Spirit Energy is an award-winning renewable installation company, based in Reading. Founded in 2010, Spirit has become known for technical expertise in solar photovoltaics and battery storage. The team has designed and installed almost 3,000 clean energy systems for a broad range of clients from domestic, commercial and public sectors.
