ESPO's five tips to using our Multifunctional Devices, Managed Print and Content Services framework (RM3781)

Read our five top tips of using our Multifunctional Devices, Managed Print and Content Services framework (RM3781).

1. When finalising your requirement, customers should focus on the volumes of prints per month rather than focusing on how fast the machine prints. This will ensure your device is fit for purpose and is not strained with a large volume which could end up saving you money.

2. If you are unsure of which device is suitable for your requirement, suppliers under the framework can conduct an audit of your existing arrangement and recommend a suitable proposal.

3. The framework allows customers to customise their device to suit their needs, by adding a staple function, booklet maker or additional paper tray. Alternatively a device with no added functionality is available to help save cost

4. Our Lot 1 portal has a comparison tool available which helps compare your existing device with a new device and will calculate any savings over the lifetime of the contract.

5. There are two purchase options available under the framework to suit all budgets. Option one is an outright purchase for those who have the capital to purchase. Option two is leasing for either 3, 4 or 5 years, to allow for full flexibility.

Benefits of leasing your devices:

  • The cost of the machine can be spread out over 3, 4 or 5 year lease periods
  • No upfront costs
  • You have the flexibility to update your fleet of machines regularly

Benefits of purchasing your machines:

  • You have ownership over the machine and are not fixed into a contract
  • Once purchased you only have to pay for quarterly copy costs for the lifetime of the machine
  • Straightforward process as there are no leasing arrangements to be approved
