Having worked for Hopwells Frozen Foods for seventeen years, I gained extensive knowledge of the education market working alongside many local authorities, various Professional Buying Organisations, the Soil Association and LACA.  IMG_3659-(3).JPG
What does the role of Customer Relationship Manager involve?
 
My main focus is building strong relationships with customers to understand their requirements and ensure that they are utilising frameworks to their full potential.  I promote the benefits that using frameworks can bring, not only by eliminating the complex tendering process, but by offering a vast range of compliant, easy to access frameworks and cost savings.

What has your role included so far?
 
Since joining ESPO in January, I have been working closely with suppliers to introduce new products onto our frameworks, such as a new vegan range, and have been heavily involved in promoting our new Grocery and Frozen Food framework (83) by engaging with new suppliers to encourage them to tender for the framework. I continually gather information on trends, market conditions and NPD to ensure that our food frameworks offer innovative new products and variety.
 
I have been working with several Academy Trusts and Local Authorities to ensure that they are getting the most from their current frameworks, helping identify potential cost savings and offering them guidance on product ranges and other frameworks that could be beneficial to them.
 
What plans do you and the team have for the future?
 
I have recently joined our regional LACA board as a committee member so I am looking forward to working closely with them. 
 
As part of our commitment to ensuring high levels of quality assurance, we have a newly appointed QA Officer who will be joining the Food team to monitor framework key performance indicators and conduct second party audits on our suppliers.    
 
I will be continuing to promote the frameworks by providing ongoing support and advice to new and existing customers and suppliers.
