The Academies Event 2018 - claim your free place

Event Date: 28/02/2018 - 28/02/2018

Event Location: Old Trafford Stadium, Manchester

ESPO have partnered up with The Academies Event on 28th February 2018 in Manchester.

In October 2016, the Government formally dropped its plans to force every school in England to become an academy by 2022. Education Secretary Justine Greening remains committed to academy conversion but focus has now shifted towards improving underperforming schools.

The event has run for several years, with this year’s event looking at:

  • Sustainable MAT growth: implementing an effective structure that allows for growth and expansion
  • Good financial management as the cornerstone of academy success and growth
  • Accountability and performance measures in MAT structures
  • Funding and finance: managing finance against an unchanging funding environment
  • Growing into a successful  and stable academy
  • Strengthening governance structures in a MAT

With speakers including:

  • Duncan Baldwin, Deputy Director of Policy, Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL)
  • Sam Henson, Head of Information, National Governors Association (NGA)
  • Geoff Stevenson, Area Director, Lancashire and West Yorkshire, Ambition School Leadership
  • Les Walton CBE, Chair, Northern Education Trust
  • Tom Clark, Chair, FASNA
  • Chris Key, Executive Finance Officer, Tudor Grange Academies Trust

The event brings together Heads and Deputies, Business Managers, and Governors, to review and share ideas around academies and MATs. ESPO customers can claim complimentary places by emailing the event organiser Sean at sean@onecpd.co.uk.

Please note: this event is being run by Salford Professional Development. ESPO have partnered with Salford Professional Development to exhibit at the event and offer our customers complimenary places.
