What are the benefits of using this framework?

  • This framework is compliant with UK/EU procurement legislation - we’ve done the work, so there’s no need for you to run a full EU procurement process.
  • Suppliers listed on the framework were assessed during the procurement process for their financial stability, track record, experience and technical & professional ability.
  • Pre-agreed terms & conditions and specifications underpin all orders.
  • Current registered customers can access the framework simply by calling off with their awarded supplier.
  • New customers can access the framework by conducting quick, simple ‘further competitions’. ESPO can provide free templates to facilitate this or assist if required.
  • Customers are offered a ‘one stop shop’ solution whereby all highway de-icing product needs are met by suppliers awarded on multiple lots of the framework.
  • Customers can feel safe in the knowledge that they are using one of the largest established frameworks in the UK for de-icing salt and associated products, accessed by many customers successfully for years. Over 1 million tonnes of bulk salt has been bought through the framework in the last 10 years.
