ESPO is a specialist procurement organisation leading the way in the public sector, establishing billion pound procurement solutions, and saving millions of pounds for the public sector whilst we do.  In recognition of our work, we have been externally recognised with a number of awards from for our procurement work and the savings we achieve.

Our customers might be children in classrooms, vulnerable people who need looking after or citizens just like you who regularly access services from their local authority.  On a daily basis our procurement teams make sure that schools, councils, emergency services and other public sector customers can spend their budgets to get the best value products and services they need.

There are 80 of us in the procurement team, with a diverse range of procurement specialisms, covering a variety of key category areas such as:

  • Highways & Vehicles;
  • ICT; and
  • Professional Services such as HR and consultancy services.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for dedicated professionals who work well as part of a team with experience from a range of backgrounds in both the public and private sector.  CIPS qualifications are preferable but not essential for all positions as we can support applicants to achieve the qualification working with us, and we also operate as a CIPS training and exam centre.

Most of all, we’re looking for people who think commercially, who are innovative whilst being analytical and with excellent interpersonal skills.  We’d like to hear from candidates with experience of supply chain management, specific supply market knowledge and category expertise, as well as enthusiastic graduates and/or potential apprentices with a thirst to learn more about supply chains and procurement in the public sector.
